Kijana Voices Executive Director Dr. Dennis Harper taught in Liberia during the 1970s. For the past three years, Kijana Voices has worked with Liberian educators and President Ellen Sirleaf to design, build, and fund a Liberia Renaissance Education Complex. Kijana Voices staff raised more than $1.1 million and donated in excess of 5,000 hours to ensure Liberian children receive the 21st century education necessary to achieve a peaceful future.
Kijana Voices has now turned over the day-to-day tasks to the Swiss-based Liberia Renaissance Foundation. The school is scheduled to open in March 2008 and further developments can be found at this location.
